Kevin K. Johnson
As Founder and Managing Principal of K. Johnson & Company, Mr. Kevin Johnson is responsible for providing direction and oversight for the organization, while furthering the overall vision. In addition, Mr. Johnson leads the Strategic Planning and Program Management Division, providing clients with effective commercial real estate planning and delivery solutions.
Mr. Johnson’s concept of “Real Estate Decision Intelligence” was developed from knowledge and expertise obtained from over two-hundred private and public sector projects, totaling over ten million square feet. His experience includes assisting clients with program and project management, facilities management, strategic planning and real estate development. Before launching K. Johnson & Company, he led the project management team for the General Services Administration (GSA) National Broker Contract at both CB Richard Ellis and Studley, Inc, where he was accountable for all facets of the national delivery platform for project management as it related to GSA federal leasing procurements. In addition, Mr. Johnson held the position of Project Executive for Studley's advisory services contract with the GSA's Office of Design and Construction. He provided executive insight for all aspects of program delivery.
Mr. Johnson's private sector career began with the Chicago development and project management team of Trammell Crow Company. While serving in the position of Vice-President of Development and Project Management, he worked closely with internal and external stakeholders to manage client land acquisition, speculative and build-to-suit projects. Mr. Johnson has over twenty years of project management, design and development experience that includes fifteen years of work with the federal government and seven years in private industry. He is a registered architect, a licensed commercial real estate professional in the Washington, DC metropolitan service area and a graduate of the Wharton School of Business, where he obtained his MBA with a specialization in Real Estate and Finance.
Mr. Johnson also spent over twelve years as an Officer in the U.S. Navy Civil Engineer Corps, serving in various capacities for numerous military support sites around the world.
